Description: Prison Architect is the world’s latest Prison Management Sim. Starting with an empty plot of land you must construct a holding cell with basic water and electricity to house your first batch of prisoners, to buy you enough time to create a proper cell block. You’ll need to hire some guards, get some showers built and unless the kitchen is up and running with chefs working away you’re going to end up with a riot on your hands. From there you take your prison in which-ever direction you like. A monsterous super-max or comfortable center for rehabilitation, the choice is up to you.
Development stage: Alpha 29

About the translation: As soon as the game was released on Steam Early Access, I bought it. And as soon as I saw that Steam Workshop integration was ready, I decided to see if there was any translation available. None. It had been some time that I hadn’t translated anything, so it would be good to practice. The file was small and within one full day I had finished it. Being the first game in an ongoing development stage I had translated, it has been quite the experience working with it. At first the game didn’t work with accented characters, so I had to publish two versions of my translation, one with those characters (which would show up as interrogation marks) and one without. Not only that, I had to edit the font ‘bmp’ file myself, in order for the accented characters show up in the most recent update. Having to do all this manual labor in order to offer the users a better experience thought a lot about messing with random files, and how one can regret doing so (translating some strings in one of the files will break part of the game, making it so that prisoners don’t have special reputation)!
It’s by far my most downloaded translation, with a couple youtubers using it and telling their viewers how to download it. The Steam Workshop file has more than 1200 subscribers, and the MediaFire files have been downloaded more than 700 times along all its versions.
